Happy Halloween!!

Is it that time already? Sure is! Halloween is one of my favourite holidays of the year! Its also another excuse to whip out some cosplay and show it off! Its a day for those who don't appreciate cosplay to admire your costume. Or if you aren't all too creative or have no money for a costume then its a night to stay at home, watch all of the halloween episodes from all of your anime, replay Halloween Town on Kingdom Hearts or try a new horror anime! Okay now go scare, trick, get up to a whole lot of mischief and get a tonne of candy! ^ ^

Ruru's plans for WaiCon!

Sup guys~ Ruru here, sorry for not bloggin for a while. Been too busy with school and my online gaming hahaha Aaaaaanyways, I've already made plans for my cosplay for WaiCon and I've been absolutely hyped Dx Grrrr!

I've planned to do two cosplays since one is a huge cosplay and I'll prolly get hot being in it for two days. The other one is just to air me out LOL!

First off! On the first day and for the cosplay comp, my theme would be Trickster Online. I'll be going as a tenter lion!



Then I'll be going as Naomi Kimishima from Trauma Center: Second Opinion!

Halloween Event

This event will be held on Halloween, I know that ages away, but I figured you'd need the forewarning so that you have time to prepare your costumes! Yes, that's right, in this event you'll be required to make your very own costumes! This is just a go wild with a material thing though, the theme is black and white circus! It can be pretty, scary, cute or just downright weird. Have fun and go wild! You made add little bits of other colours, but remember the two main ones must be black and white!

Supanova!!!

With the biggest anime convention coming to town how could the E.O. Brigade not go? We went we saw awesome cosplay, made new friends and... of course emptied our pockets of any and all traces of cash. Including food money in some cases. The cosplay there was really good, while there wasn't as much great cosplay as there is at the Wai-con the many stalls selling everything an otaku could want made up for it. It was also the first time for cosplay for the majority of the brigade members, I think it's safe to say we loved it.

We also got the honour of meet Vic Mignogna (the voice of Tamaki Suoh, Ouran High School Host Club, Edward Elrick, Full Metal Alchemist and many other popular and loved anime characters) and John the host for most of the stage events at the Supanova, some of us did contemplate glomping him, but ended up just giving out hugs.

There was also Japanese karaoke and anime game show and much, much more. For those who didn't attend this year its an event not to be missed, so check it out next year!

Another exciting event!

Hey all!
I've come up with a new event. After some discussion with one or two other members I think we have a new event that is about to open. It will be anounced and begin on the first night of the Supa-Nova anime convention in W.A! That's two short weeks away! The whole brigade is bubbling with excitement!!!
For those of you who don't know the event is on the 26th and 27th of June at the show grounds!

This is the pairing of Yami "yugi" (The pharaohs soul or Atem) and Yugi Motou. I think they're so cute/sexy together. *fangirl happy sigh*

Okay, what I think there relationship is...
Yami is very protective of Yugi, and Yugi is a little dense to notice Yami's feelings, or so Yami thinks. Sometimes Yugi can surprise Yami by showing a little love towards him. Yugi worries about Yami constantly, and he is the one protecting him emotionally. Even if Yami tried and denied it, he couldn't live without being with Yugi. Although, Yugi may seem like he can go on without Yami, he definately can't. Also, it seems that Yami wants Yugi to be the "seme" sometimes.

Well, that's my theory! ^^

*Doki Doki* Shoujo Manga~ !!

Konnichiwa miina!

I have been reading some of the best shoujo manga ever...
We'll start with..
Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume!!

Here's the summary from mangafox:

Uru is a very short girl and is constantly mistaken for an elementary school kid, but despite that, she is ridiculously strong and decides to live by herself after her mother gets remarried. She ends up working at a small cafe with two rather unique co-workers, Shindou(demon king), who acts gruff and intimidating, but who is really a nice guy who loves to make cakes and pies and the like, and Ichirou(weirdo), who is really good-looking but who instantly falls asleep when he gets hungry and doesn't wake up again until he's given something to eat. What will the future bring to them?

At the moment, there has been a major twist in the story!!
Uwaa~!! <3 i can't wait for the next chapters!!

This manga is uber funny!!

Now onto Otomen!

Otomen is otome (japanese maiden) + men (english)
Its about a manly looking boy named Asuka who loves all things cute and sweet.
he loves cooking, sewing and all the typical girly things.
But due to his mothers illness, he must keep it a secret from everyone!
Soon, he meets a girl named Ryou, and shes the opposite of Asuka.
She really strong, manly and can't cook every well, even though she looks so cute and small!

Now for Toradora!
im not sure if Toradora is exactly a shoujo manga or not, but i feel i should mention it. ^^

Ryuuji is a teenage boy who is always mistaken as mean because for his angry looking face. Although he is kind and friendly, other people are completely scared of him.
Except Taiga. Taiga is a small cute girl who is superly strong and can be bad-tempered most of the time. One fateful day, Taiga writes a love letter to a boy in their class, but accidentally places it into Ryuuji's bag!! He finds out that Taiga likes his only friend, and Taiga finds out that Ryuuji likes her best friend!!
the two work together to become closer to the ones they love. But what happens when everyone mistakes Taiga and Ryuuji as a couple?!

E.O. Brigade Events

I forgot to tell you before, but from next year onwards we are hoping to have events every single month! ^ ^
Not to mention surprise/random events!
Fun? You bet cha! They'll be awesome, original and some down right scary!
Can't wait to see what the new year has in store for our little brigade and remember if you wanna join just say the word.
The brigade will have a small debate over it, but you will probably be accepted. The only reason for rejection would be not loving anime!
The other members might like to provide more information on what I have just said (if they ever bothered to contribute to the blog), but that's all I have to say on the matter. Any questions will be answered, just ask! ^ ^

Impending Doom!

We've finally arranged a new event!! But it's not going to happen for ages!!! >.<

Anyway I'd better give you the event info:

Name: Operation Impending Doom! a.k.a Let's Help Amity Move In! a.k.a Amity's Attempt to Get the Brigade to do Her Work!

Date: Sometime during the Christmas Holidays (a time and day will be set closer to the event).

Members to Participate: Amity-chan (she is so not getting out of helping), Natsuki-chan, Haruhi-chan and Ruru-chan (she doesn't know she's helping... yet >D)

My-HiME Review

Hey everyone! I'm back and I have another member of the brigade blogging with me for once!

Please note that the views, opinions and attitudes towards this anime are not representative of the entire brigade. They are that of Natsuki-chan and Azure L.P-chan and the other memembers may not agree with what we have written.

My-HiME is a great anime, full of excitement. It's an action, fantasy, romance and comedy which will have you laughing crying and staring in awe. I can guarentee that after a few episodes you will be left begging for more. It is based loosely on the Norse Myth of the Valkyries. It is about twelve girls who all come together at a school known as Fuka Academy. They have special powers that they are born with, but cannot be used until they are awakened. The people at district one, a mysterious organisation, call these girls Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment or HiME for short. The girls stumble through the series trying to gain an understanding of their powers. At the start it all seems pretty innocent and they play the role of heroes protecting their school from monsters called Orphans. As the story progresses they are told that now they must fight each other, if they do not then the world will be destroyed. Not only that, but if they are defeated the one thing most precious to them will be lost. Is there a way for them to dodge the bullet of fate? To bring back what is lost and restore hope to their hearts? Only one way to find out!

This has to be, by far, one of the best animes we have ever seen. We would definately give it five stars out of five.

Up and Coming Anime Conventions!

As all true otakus should know the supa-nova anime conventions are coming up!

We have Amity-chan going to Brisbane to check the anime con there out and the rest of the brigade will be in Perth in June for the anime con here.

Supa Nova Bisbane Anime Convention 9th, 10th & 11th of April

Elemental Gelade

Hi all!

I've decided to review Elemental Gelade which is an anime that is very important to me. This review does not reflect the thoughts and attitudes that the rest of the brigade have towards this anime.

Elemental Gelade is a cute, action packed fantasy action anime. The story revolves around Cou and Ren. Cou is a young sky pirate and meets Ren while snooping through his gang's treasury. He finds her in a box they stole from someone else's treasure. A little later you meet the sub characters Cisqua, Rowen and Keau. They're look for an Eldel Raid, in particular the Shikou Hoji (I am not sure if that is how you spell it). They think that Cou and his gang of pirates are in possession of it. Then Cou appears with Ren and Cisqua explains that Ren is the Eldel Raid they're looking for. She explains that Eldel Raids aren't quite human beings, they're girls who can become a weapon for one human that they choose. The only way to tell them apart from normal humans is by a stone they have somewhere on their body. Anyway Cisqua asks the sky pirates to give Ren to them because they can take care of her, but Cou refuses to give her to them because she says she wants to go somewhere. For that reason Ren chooses to react (become a weapon) with Cou when they are faced by enemies who also want to take Ren away. Ren wishes to get to Eldel Garden so Cisqua, Rowen and Keau follow Cou and Ren on their journey to try to convince them to go to Arc Aile. Cou and Ren eventually fall in love as the story progresses and... You'll find out if they reach Eldel Garden if you watch it.

It's a beautifully drawn and animated shoujo and I recommend it to anyone. It was what started my anime obsession and I wouldn't even be a part of the brigade if not for this series.

I give it a 4.5 stars out 5. Beautiful, stunning and great, those are the only words to describe this anime.

Wai Convention

Sorry this took so long for me to write.

The cosplay competition at the Wai Con this year was awesome. There were cosplayers singing, performing skits, dances and posing. Here's a list of some of the cosplayers and what they did:

• Hatsune Miku- sang
• Group Cosplay from Kingdom Hearts- performed a skit
• The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamia group cosplay- Performed the Haruhi dance
• One Peice group cosplay- posed
• Death Note group cosplay (Light, L and Mello)- performed a skit
• Sora (from Kingdom Hearts) - posed
• Final Fantasy group cosplay- posed
• Chi (from Chobits)- posed (and threw out cookies)

We also all danced to the cosplay song!

New Event! Ichigo!

Soon we will be hosting the Ichigo event! It will be super fun!

Basically its an event centered around strawberries! Strawberry food, strawberry acessories, strawberry clothes! Strawberry everything! ^_^

It will be super fun, it was scheduled for this weekend, but due to large quantities of homework it will have to be post-phoned. It should occur next weekend or the weekend after.

Happy birthday Ruru-chan and Amity-chan!

Our little baby Ruru-chan and of course our always hilarious assasin-maid, Amity-chan have just celebrated their birthdays!

Amity-chan finally got a mobile and Ruru-chan treated us all to dinner and a movie. Their birthdays are so close! Anyway don't forget to wish them a happy birthday and do something fun to celebrate! Like watch anime! Or draw an awesome anime picture!

She weapon/ other stuff!

HEY GUYS!!!

I havn't posted anything in ages and i thought it was about time! well...
*get up and jumpes in the air* I've been watching She the ultimate weapon! I'm not going to post any spoliers about it but i think its a good anime, the only problame is (well for me) it took a wile to get into, (personaly sorry to anyone who thinks diffrent) the first 3 episodes are a bit boring but they are essential to watch or you wont get the rest of it! Basicly this Anime is a romance about a girl who has a boyfriend but she gets turned into a Ultimate weapon and made to fight in the war, it's a story about there relationship and the fight to keep it together! By half way through the second disk (5/6 episode) you just want to keep watching it! I shall be bringing it with me to the anime party on the 21st so untill then there wont be a prober revue but as always hope you all enjoy your anime and youre day!
